I’m so excited to share this Oregon elopement packing list with y’all. This summer elopement at Mt. Hood felt like something of an ode to where I grew up, and where I ultimately dream of finding my way back to.
Oregon is one of my favorite places to elope – it’s breathtaking, diverse, and still underrated in terms of crowd levels. In Oregon you can have sun and rain in the same day, and throughout the winter a dense fog hangs in the evergreen trees. Even in the summer when you travel places like the Oregon Coast, you can have a moody morning followed by an insane golden hour. To many people there are better places – places with more predictable weather patterns, warmer coastlines, and spots that are more frequently visited on social media. But, I love Oregon for all of its hidden magic and spontaneous moments of beauty. I truly believe that when people are prepared correctly for Oregon’s weather, most of the stress regarding eloping in Oregon vanishes.
How to Pack For Your Oregon Elopement
It’s no secret that Oregon’s weather patterns can be unpredictable, especially in the off-seasons. Most couples choose to elope in Oregon during the summer, as there is minimal rainfall and maximum hours of daylight. Another option is to consider Central Oregon (read my blog post on elopement locations here)! As Bend boasts less rain and a high desert climate.
