planning an elopement opens you up to endless possibilities, but it's impossible to tackle on your own. That's where I come in!

If this is the experience you've been searching for, you're in the right place....

Oregon Elopement Photography

Our day began walking up a hidden trail among tall pines and forest overgrowth. After an hour of dense fog with E & C's pup in tow, we emerged at a secluded alpine lake. By a stroke of luck - the sun peeked out from behind the clouds as E & C began reading their vows. They went from deep belly laughs to tears.

In that moment I knew exactly why I am so passionate about being an elopement photographer in Oregon.

I'm here to plan a day that represents your relationship to its fullest. Whether that's hiking up a mountain or something as simple as watching the sunrise over the mountains with a thermos of coffee... I'm here to capture adventurous photos for couples seeking an intimate experience in wild places.

hey i'm sydney, and here's the story of a recent oregon elopement!

Elopement Photographers in Colorado

- Emily & Andrew

"Sydney was everything we could've asked for from a elopement photographer... She knew all of the hidden gems in the state, and we had a day that was intimate, without crowds, and had stunning views! She was so responsive, organized, and had our best interests at heart throughout the entire planning process! She's a photographer that REALLY LISTENS! To her, it was about us and our day, and she made that clear as we narrowed down locations, and activities! We had no idea how to plan an elopement, and she took all of the stress off of doing it ourselves. She has such a great understanding of what eloping couples need, and how to create a day that fits perfectly with our personalities. She truly took the time to get to know us, and by the time our day rolled around it felt like we were just hanging out with an old friend! I seriously cannot recommend Sydney enough as a  photographer- her photography and editing was flawless, but even more than that she crafted a day that was uniquely and perfectly us, I was blown away!

Sydney was the dream photographer, I can't imagine a better day and experience. Seriously, book her!!!

"I CRIED looking through my elopement photos, I loved them THAT much! Sydney was fast to respond, a great communicator, and began discussing locations before we even signed the contract! She knows Oregon so well, and understood that our day was about more than just photos. If you want emotional, adventurous, and thoughtful photos, Sydney is the way to go! Sydney took the time to get to know us beforehand. She met up with us when we visited from out of state, and the day of we were confident that she really understood our story. This came out in all the details of her photographs. From the story of my ring, to the kind of treats my dog responded best to, and she paired us perfectly with locations that fit our personalities and abilities. Sydney was INCREDIBLE with our pup! She knew the best poses and prompts, how to keep his attention, and understood his body language and when to give breaks. She also carried an invisible ink paw print pad so our pup could sign our marriage license!"

I recommend booking at least a year and a half to 6 months before your Oregon elopement date! Couples have booked me a year in advance, as well as just a few months out - but keeping to that 6 month to one year rule of thumb ensures you get first choice of dates, vendors, locations, and lodging!

Typically! Whether or not you hike in your wedding attire totally depends on what you're wearing, how difficult the hike is, and your hiking abilities. You will need comfortable hiking shoes either way. Changing when you reach the viewpoint is an option too! I have a pop-up tent if you prefer more privacy!

It all depends on the location you choose! If you're thinking about eloping in a National Park, State Park, or BLM land you can definitely plan on needing a permit. We'll need to apply for these at least 60 days in advance, so let's plan your date accordingly! As your Colorado elopement photographer, I will coordinate all permits and the cost will be included in your package!
