Breckenridge, Colorado is a stunning mountain town that offers picturesque views, charming streets, and adventure. Summer: June-August
The summer months in Breckenridge are an excellent time to elope, especially if you’re looking for a warm and sunny climate. During the summer, Breckenridge’s temperatures typically range from the high 60s to mid-70s, making it the perfect time for outdoor activities such as hiking, off-roading, and swimming in alpine lakes. The summer months are also a great time for wildflowers!
Fall: September-November
Fall in Breckenridge is a very popular time to elope in Breckenridge, with the changing aspen leaves! The weather starts to become more moody as well, you can expect fog rolling through the hills and potential rainstorms broken up by sunshine. During the fall months, the temperatures drop, and the crowds thin out, making it an ideal time for a more intimate ceremony. If you’re looking for a more relaxed vibe for your elopement, the fall season is a perfect choice.
Winter: December-February
Winter is the perfect time to elope in Breckenridge if you and your partner love to ski, or are wanting cozy elopement vibes! With snow-capped mountains, blue skies and endless options for après ski. Ceremony sites will be more limited, but you will have many spots during weekends and peak hours all to yourselves. Consider adding in snowmobiles or a ski in/ski out stay!
Spring: March-May
Spring in Breckenridge boasts wildflowers, waterfalls, and sunshine. While the weather can be unpredictable, with some days feeling like winter, and others feeling like summer, spring is still a great time to elope in Breckenridge. It’s also an ideal time for couples who plan to hike or off-road, as hiking trails begin to open up.
If I had to choose my favorite time of year to elope in Breckenridge it would be June-September. It provides you with the warmest weather, and the most location options for your elopement day!
